As Cardiff City opened the final season at Ninian Park in style with a hard earned victory over Southampton on Saturday, the greatly anticipated arrival of this years commemorative shirt drew nearer.
 While demand for the brand new home shirt reached fever pitch over the past few weeks, Joma have been busy arranging for deliveries into the club store to be made as early as possible. The club shop displayed one of the shirts prior to the Southampton game on Saturday, offering fans an opportunity to get within touching distance for the first time this season and signalling that the long wait will shortly be over. The brand new shirt goes on general sale from 9.30am tomorrow (Thursday 14th August) at the club shop or from the OFFICIAL store in the town centre.
As a commemorative piece, this years design has been influenced by two of the clubs greatest achievements in the worlds most famous cup contest along with a tribute
to the grand old stadium itself.
A distressed blue colour fabric along with discreet embroidery in the neck hem pays homage to the clubs greatest victory in the FA Cup Final of 1927 while the adopted style of last Mays glorious appearance at the new Wembley revives memories of the most recent success. In addition, the Ambassadors choice of a 1970's influence saw the inclusion of yellow strips, imitating the style of a retro kit design.
As a finishing touch, the End of an Era message woven into the back waist hem is a lasting tribute to one of Wales most recognised national sporting venues.
